The objectives of the P&C Association are to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co‐operation; to assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school; and to promote the recreation and welfare of the students at the school.

Policies

Code of conduct

The Code of Conduct outlines the expectations of all members and volunteers of the P&C Association, and P&C Association contractors, while undertaking any role or activity related to the P&C Association. The policy also includes a procedures to handle complaints, grievances and disputes.

Expenditure policy

The P&C Association is committed to supporting Petersham Public School through a range of fundraising activities, and has developed an expenditure policy to ensure transparency and fairness around decisions on how money raised is applied to benefit the school and its community.

Social media policy

The P&C Association social media policy applies to any content disseminated or posted via social media, including the P&C Association Facebook group and WhatsApp groups. We take the same approach to providing a safe and healthy environment for all members of the school community across physical and digital environments – which includes ensuring respectful and positive communications. Parents & carers must not post, and should immediately report to the P&C Association, any inappropriate content.

The P&C Association is committed to supporting Petersham Public School through a range of fundraising activities, and has developed a sponsorship policy to ensure transparency and fairness in its dealings with the community.
